Bordering southern Bolivia and the edge of Chile's Atacama region, Jujuy has both jungle and desert salt flats but it is largely dominated by the high plateau of the Altiplano which scales up to 5000 metres altitude.' Amanda Barnes, South America Wine Guide.]Close to the Tropic of Capricorn it may be, but the Cielo Arriba vineyard in Jujuy is cool because of its altitude. The result is the second knock-out release of this wonderful wine from Alejandro Sejanovich, produced from a judicious blend of Malbec with 13% Syrah and 7% Cabernet Franc. Deeply coloured, herbal and intense, with redcurrant and blackberry fruit flavours, fine tannins and a fresh, thrilling finish. Drink date: 2023-2032. Score - 96.
